Default Metallic Window Tint Interferes With TPMS

Hey everyone,

You guys ever heard of metallic window tint interfering with the TPMS on our Max's? I have had a Chevy Trailblazer and Nissan Altima, both with TPMS and metallic window tint and didn't get any interference or bogus TPMS dash lights coming on. The guy at the tint shop says I have to go with ceramic tint, which is about 50% more that metallic tint. Never heard this before, anyone else?

This is the first time I ever hear anything like that. If anything, it would've messed with the keyless remotes/keys as well. I smell BS.

Didn't even think about keyless entry being affected, good point. The tint guy also mentioned that it interferes with GPS and satellite radio. I did call him out on the satellite radio -- "No way, the antenna is on the roof dude!!" It did sound a little fishy to me too. Oh well, I got metallic tint on the wife's SUV now and I will be getting mine redone next week hopefully.
