LED Mirror Covers (Maxi-LED)

See if this helps. Look at post #320 (Instruction sheet).

Also you can send a P.M. to maxima2010100. He is a very nice guy and will answer all you questions.

You can find both of the turn signals in the plastic wire tray that runs down the drivers door sill under the carpet.

The wire colors are:
  • Green/Black stripe for the Left
  • Green/Yellow stripe for the Right.

I cant take stuff apart right now due to a broken finger. Remove the sill plate at the bottom of the drivers door opening. Its the dash colored piece with the silver "MAXIMA" plate in the middle of it. It is held down with clips. After that is out, move the carpet beside the drivers seat back and you will see the top of the white wire tray. Use a small flat tip screw driver to pry it open. Look for the Green/White and Green/Yellow wires.

The splice thingie that you are looking for, i call them scotch locks. You can pick them up at any auto parts retailer. You want the red one's.

I connected mine at the BCM under the dash. I found out (the hard way) that there are 2 green/yellow stripe wires. You need a test light to figure out which one you need.

I'm spliced into the same wires just about a foot away from the BCU. More room to work in the door sill though.

The different colors correspond to different gauges of wire.

The blue ones will work but you may have to strip a little bit of insulation off of the wire because it is for a slightly bigger wire and the slot that the wire is forced into is too wide to get through the insulation. I used them to wire in the load resistors for some LED tail lights and learned my lesson.

If you do not see them at the place you went then hit up another one or make the blue ones work.

Had mine painted recently to match the car. Don't really like that the edge doesn't match up exactly with the edge of the mirror so still undecided as to whether I'm going to have them installed.

They certainly do not line up perfect with the LED housing in them. I have not had anyone notice and mention it yet. It bugs me though. I have some 3M carbon fiber vinyl i have been procrastinating putting on. I just hope i don't break the remaining two snap clips that secure the mirror.
