Default LED Parking Lights Won't Turn On

Ok so I was changing the parking lights to switchbacks and I installed the resistors and the turn signal comes on but when I put the car in park they don't come on..on one side is the stock bulb and it doesn't come on either, so I'm kinda confused about this problem..anyone know what's wrong?

Did you disconnect the negative on the battery before doing all that? You probably blew the turn signal fuse

Where'd you buy the signals? If they're from eBay they're probably Defective, I had a lot of problems with eBay bulbs

Did you make sure you installed the resistors right?

Disconnect one side of the resistors and try it again with stock bulb and with switchback

Do your turnsignals work? Rear parking lights? May be a blown fuse.

I tried that with the stock bulbs without the resistor and it still doesn't work, just the turn signals work but they don't turn on when in park or drl..

You're welcome! Anytime you do something that requires electrical of the car always disconnect the negative terminal, it'll save you a lot of headaches and will keep you and your car safe

Sometimes i wish i did not know where it was at. But i have done blown so many fuses in there messing with this and that. Better to blow the fuse then something else. Remember to disco the negative terminal and you are 80% less likely to blow a fuse. But they blow regardless sometimes.

Yeah but at least now I know where theyre at..but I have another question..I changed the fuse and I took off the resistor and they worked but I had the resistor installed wrong I guess..to what wires do I hook them into? I will be putting them in the headlight are since they are out right now and my maxima is a 6.5

If I remember correctly, there are two positives and a negative going into the plug for the parking lights. They should be spliced into the "max" positive and the ground.

Is that the way you did it DON?

It the wires are Green/Black(stripe) and Green/Yellow(stripe) for the +. The Black wire is the - or use a body ground. Body grounds are located right behind the headlights if you use them instead.

Think about where you are putting them though. Nothing but metal should come in contact with them. They get hot. Let power pass through them for a minute or two. Wet your finger and touch one. It will sizzle.

I always suggest the trunk as the location to install the load resistors because they get so hot and there are more options on where to locate them. It doesn't matter where you put the resistors in the turn signal circuit. Front, or rear, the BCU still see's the correct load to flash the turn signal's at the normal rate.
