Default Leather Repair?

I was wondering if anyone knows of a good leather repair kit on the market? I have the driver side seat bolster on my Murano where the leather has split from getting in and out. Anyone got any suggestions or tried a leather repair kit to give some feedback?

Send a PM (private message) to @DarkDog.

I believe he owns a custom upholstery business in the Atlanta area. He may be able to advise you.

Leather repair kits from AutoZone, Advanced, etc are a joke. The compounds are low end, which makes sanding and blending very difficult. It's near impossible to find pre-mixed dyes that match Nissan factory colors. Compound repair also works best when the leather hasn't ripped completely through.

The outer bolster is probably the most common repair I do, because it is such a high friction area. It's relatively inexpensive, and is a quick process.

Thunder is right.. I am in the Atlanta area.. Acworth (Cobb County) to be precise. If you're in the area, and interested, PM your number, or email Mike@DarkDogcustoms.com and we'll set up an appt.

Me personally, I would just buy a new seat wrap and just re wrap it or find a used seat that's not ripped.
