take off your grille and you will see little tabs on the backside of the grille. push those tabs of the emblem through and the emblem will fall right out.

What process? You don't need a hair dryer to pull the grill emblem...it's just snapped on with plastic tabs.

A heat gun will melt the plastic tabs and the emblem should fall right off.

DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!

fwiw on my 04 it was attached with an adhesive pad, those tabs just aligned it. So yeah I did need a heat gun.

Goo gone. Just a drop around the adhesive and slowly wiggle the emblem. Don't pull.

Sorry guys but he is correct. Good call new guy. 04 to 06s are not snapped in place by clips but have double sided tape.

Here was mine when I still had the 06 front and had to take it off to paint, you can see the two pilot holes and the double sided tape.

If your plastidipping it you dont have to remove it. I didn't need to for the grill but had it ready. Once painted simply make sure the gap between the emblem and grill is not attached. If so cut it with the exacto knife.(after letting coat dry for abotu 30 mins) and simply peel it off. You can see the result in my build thread if it helps. It is really easy actually.
