Your bottom cornering lights in the bumper do NOT blink with the turn signals. The stay on steady while the turn signal is on, then turn off when the turn signal turns off. What Nick was saying is that those lights shine to the side, so if you make them stay on with the headlights, or all the time (use them as fog lights) you are NOT shining any light forward...they shine off to the side.

---------- Post added at 04:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:24 PM ----------

It can be done...there's some wiring involved. You need to re-wire the fog light wires into the cornering bulb sockets.

cornering lights do NOT blink. tonight go out to your car, turn the headlights on, then turn on your turn signal and go look at that side. your signal will blink but nothing else will.

one option you could do is do the 6.5gen swap. that way you have regular fogs down in the bottom of the bumper. it can get a little pricey though.

Default Re: HID Kit And Hid Fog Kit

To make anything HID, you have to be able to get the bulb type needed in an HID bulb. I believe your cornering lights are like a 3157 bulb, or similar...I don't think you can get an HID bulb in that type. You can retrofit an HID bulb to fit the opening possibly, but I think it's going to be more trouble than it's worth.

so better off just changing bulb color for bottom cornering lights or try looking for led light for cornering and put 3k fogs in my headlights and install my 8k hid kit instead and go from their??

pretty much what u shoud do is hack two circles in ur bumper, and then get a fog light pod of ebay and put ur fogs in them....
personally i think u should just put the fogs where the fogs go.

Alright, you've got a lot of things going here.

1. As @1hawaii50 said, you'd have to find an HID bulb in the size you needed.

2. You wouldn't want to put an HID bulb in the cornering light because that housing isn't made to handle as much heat as an HID bulb would put out.

3. The 4th slot in our headlights are for Daytime Running Lights - Canada only. You could put a bulb in there but it takes some work - I'm not sure what all.

4. 2006 headlights are the same as what you have. 04-06 are the same and 07-08 are the same (6.5 gen). If you were to buy those headlights you'd have to also buy the grille, bumper and hood.

As far as being friendly goes, you need to understand something...just about all of the new posts/questions you have asked have already been covered NUMEROUS times. It isn't a matter of being friendly, or unfriendly, it's a matter of these questions have already been answered time and time again. You simply need to use the search button first.
