Default Headlight Sealant

I'm going to paint my headlights soon so I will be opening them. I just bought some sealant from the theretrofitsource.com (they shipped really fast) and decided to see if I can find it cheaper online. I found a site that sells the butyl sealant on the cheap. This great for resealing your headlights properly. 3M Butyl Windo-Weld $10 Just thought I'd share with you all.

First time you don't need any, you can reuse the stuff that's already there.

Interesting. Is it removable if you heat it up again?

That's what I used to reseal mine. Worked perfectly, and it can be heated for re-release, if necessary.

Just a recommendation. You may want to get the thinner strips(they come in different sizes. The larger stips(1/2" or more) may end up spilling out the light when pressed down on(or heated).

Yea, I was probably going to cut the strips in half as it's pretty pliable cold. I just want to make sure my lights are water tight after painting.
