Default Headlight bulb replacement issue

My wife has a 04 Maxima and had a burnt out bulb (9012 Halogen) so on another maxima forum someone said that a 9006 bulb will also fit and since my store didn't have the 9012's I bought the 9006's. I dropped the front bumper, removed each lens and simply installed each bulb and the process went great. Once all back together at night now the pass headlight points to the ditch/side of road.

Bulb not seated?
Need to adjust? - How to adjust?

If you installed it correctly then you just need to adjust. There are two Philips adjustment screws per headlight and they are located behind them. One for left to right adjustment and the other for up and down. For the passenger side you may have to remove the coolant reservoir for easier access, but this is not required. Using a short standard sized screwdriver will help.

Thanks!

I will give that a try and see what happens, when done I will post the results.

Hello OP, if all you did was change the bulb then i don't see how that would throw off the alignment? A 9012 bulb is brighter than a 9006 bulb.

9012 and 9006 can be adapted to fit each others socket. It is not a direct plug and play.
