Default Got Into A "Fender Bender" The Other Day

Hey guts, I'm new to the forum. Introduced myself and got a warm welcome(Brooklyn stand up!).

Now I need some serious help. Got some not so serious yet kind of serious front end damage to my 04 Max SL

This is how it looked just after the "fender bender"

rps20111204_211416_430.jpg

Bumper shifted to the right
rps20111204_211621.jpg

The bumper decided it was best that it fell off when I was miles from home lol. Had to find some string to tie it up.
rps20111204_211734_266.jpg

The bumper reinforcement is caved in. Found another one on Craigslist.
rps20111204_211851_607.jpg

Since this happened I figured I might as well do the 07 conversion. I already ordered the 07 bumper and grille. Would I need to change the hood and can i keep my 04 headlights? Also, as you can see, my hood doesn't go all the way down, it seems to be in the same shape it was prior to the incident I'm not too sure as to why it won't close.
The big concern is since then sometimes when I put the car in reverse and give it gas, smoke comes from the engine bay.

I'm taking it to the mechanic this week for sure.

Any help is appreciated. :D Especially with regards to the 07 conversion. Anybody know where I could get the fog lights?

You will need an 07 hood and headlights for everything to line up right.

Thanks everyone. the headlights are perfectly fine. The only issues are the bumper reinforcement, the bumper cover and the grille.....and the smoke coming from the engine bay when reversing....oh and the hood not going down all the way.

I'm not too worried about everything not lining up properly that's fine. I just want fog lights at the bottom of my car.

You can use your headlights but there will be a very noticeable gap between the headlights and bumper and that's a big no no , so I would suggest just get everything you need, finding an 07 hood is a nightmare and the only simple way to find one is going straight to the dealer and we all know how that works out , I would of suggested maybe looking at aftermarket bumpers for your car but hopefully that answered your questions and goodluck with the conversion

Ps.before buying the 07 bumper/grille you should of taken a look at the 04-06 hybrid bumper by ezkoncepts, looks very similar to the 07 but lines up perfectly and no need to purchase other parts (from my knowledge)

Here's the link in case you're curious, scroll down and you'll see the bumpers

Check your radiator mounts. Mine cracked during a front end collision. As for the smoke, yeah that's obviously not normal at all.

These are the parts that most likely got damaged, the obvious, bumper, grill and fender. The not obvious, bumper reinforcement, bumper reinforcement mounts( mostly the driver side, if these are damaged, they have to be pulled), radiator support and radiator.

I think it is about 8 bolts. I was looking to do a dent repair on mine and was counting them last weekend but didn't actually remove it yet.
