Default A Few Problems With My Maxima (Leather/Power Mirror)

Hey guys, any advice on the next few problems would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

First issue is with my beloved leather seat. I have no idiea how the brown spot got there, just looked over one day and BOOM ruined headrest, I'm assuming it is sun damage as I do drive with the sun roof open most of the time(moved to flordia from ny for a semester :D) I honestly have no clue

Where would I go to get this fixed? The leather suffer some physical damage such as cracking and it doesnt feel the same in the damaged area as it does on the black so its not just a color change. Thanks.

The next issue is with my passanger side power mirror. Lent the car to my cousin and it took a tight turn and knocked the mirror, no damage other than a scratch and the mirror not folding in or out anymore, when I press "close" the driver's side folds but the passengers side moves maybe a half inch inward and no further. makes a whining noise when left in the "open" position as youll see in the video.

Anybody else had a problem similar and have a fix?

Other than the timing chain problem that ill be getting fixed in the summer and some body scrathes the car is great and I love it!

Oh and apparently my car needs refridgerant as the AC is blowing nothing but hot air. Couldn't find a DIY on it, probably need to search again, or should i just let the mechanic do that?

THANKS my6thgen!

The sun will do crazy things to leather, especially when it's black. With the amount of damage suffered, you've got two options. Buy a headrest cover from the dealership (an expensive option) or have another cover sewn for you. I'll be ordering some new leather for my seats this week (also black), and will have enough extra to do another headrest. My shop is outside Atlanta, but if you'd like to ship me the piece, I'll sew up a new cover, install it, and get it back to you in a day or two. I'd rather not discuss price here, but feel free to PM me if you're interested.

This is your man for the leather work!!!

As far as the AC goes...if your freon is low, then you have a leak...if you just recharge it then you are just throwing your money away. The low pressure hose is known to leak...get it checked/fixed before you recharge the system.

Don, it's actually the low side AC hose to be exact.

Look at the metal crimp right by the dipstick and check that for the leak. If its leaking you'll see a lot of nasty green liquid.

Don't recharge it with anything that has "stop-leak" in it. That actually ruins the system. Only recharge if you absolutely have to but get the line fixed ASAP cuz every recharge just opens up the leak just a little more each time.
