Default Air Conditioner Blowing Hot Air

The Summer is here and my AC is blowing warm air last year I
Charge it with freon because I was getting hot air coming out of the
the vents . I suspect I might have a leak but really don't know what
could be wrong . The car is a 05 maxima has 67989 miles on it , the heater still works
I even changee the cabin air filter I don't want to get ripped off for a simple repair

Is it an expensive job to replace a leaking AC hose ?

I had the same problem. I had to have my hose replaced. Think it was around 2 or 300. Have it checked first. There are 2 hoses. Hope they are both not leaking. They told me i might have a leak in both. But they replaced the upper hose. Which they did find a leak in but they were not 100% sure the other had a leak. Blowing cold for 3 months now. So i guess the other hose is good... An don't use that can stuff i hear it is not good. If you use it make sure it is pure r-134 an not the stuff that stops leaks could cause problems later on...

I've had two ac repairs. The first was around 450.00 for swapping out a hose or two, I can't remember. The second time I had hot air it was a complete ac melt down...this was almost 2000.00. Mine were both warranty workso I lucked out. Don't let this go on too long. Right now it might be a quick and cheap fix.

Your problem is the low side AC hose. They are notorious for leaking on our cars. The repair will be about $250-$300.

Don't just keep recharging it. That will just create a bigger problem.

O wow I thought it would be cheaper . Everybody here is saying 300 to 400 to replace
the lower AC hose , I guess I will have to sacrifice and get the money and take it to Strauss
to have them fix it . Unfortunately I don't know good mechanic shop here in the Bronx Ny
But Im very thankful for this site for having members respond so quickly .
Strauss or the dealer is going to be the last resort those guys are very
expensive.

Damn this is disappointing to read lol

Mine was blowing hot air as well and my dad just put freon in it so its cold again. But I am sure its going to be hot again once it all leaks out.
