Default 2006 Fog Light Retrofit W/ Blazers

Has anyone done a retrofit to their fog lights in the 2006 housings? I just ordered some blazer fogs from TRS and I hope they will fit. I've been reading some older posts how the blazers have heat issues, does anyone know if that is still an issue? I'm in AZ so the heat can be a problem. I recently added some Hella projectors and I want to utilize the fogs as well so I hope this isn't a waste of time.

Thanks in advance for any advice/comments

I think there was one member who attempted this. I will try to find the thread.

From what I've seen, they still seem to have heat issues. I think everybody on HIDplanet is waiting for the matchbox minis. I'm not aware of anyone retrofitting fogs in 6th gen headlights. Curious, why did you choose blazers? Those are closed/sealed projectors that were designed for external use, which plays a role in why they have heat issues. The 6th gen fogs are inside the sealed headlight, so there really isn't much reason to use a sealed projector.

Thanks everyone for the responses! Yeah I guess I really didn't think the whole blazer enclosure thing through. A lot of people were recommending Hella fogs but I'm having some heating issues with my Hella projectors where one high beam overheats and won't come on so figured I test out the Blazers instead. I'll post some pics next week after I fit them.

joecurr, what fogs would you use for this?
