Default Wheel Advice

Hi y'all. I hate the 20" davinci rims that came with my 06 max when I got it. Looks good, but rides too rough for me. Should I try to find some OEM wheels? Or a 19" 5 spoke M45 matte black wheels i found for sale?

Pictures help when asking advice. Tires for 19" are not cheap though so consider your budget when purchasing them and the condition of the tires.

I think thats a good price...Of course offer him less. Keep in mind the 19's are more expensive of a tire.

Go back to stock or get them 19's. I had 19's on my 4th gen, the ride sucked. With stocks on it, it rode nice. I want to drop my max but I dont want to sacrifice the ride beacuse I drive alot as well. A lot of the ride will depend on what size tires you run on those 19's. I ran 30 series due to clearance issues. 40 serise should be your minumum if you want it to ride smooth. BTW- tires are like 2-400 each depending on type. I ran Nitto 555 extremes, they were pretty good. 225 ea.

I hear yeah. Best set up for you would be 18s with a 245 45 tire and your car will ride good. Those M45 wheels look nice but the offset is bad, they will sit too far inside the fenders and minimize your track width. My advice, G35 wheels, they are light, look good and you can get a decent tire that will ride good.
First decide if you want 18s or 19s and we'll go from there.

Answering the page, HAM here

To be honest the M 45 19's drove awesome not much difference from the stock 18's. Now the problem with those wheels is the OFFSET is too high +50they sat well into the wheel well, definitely not a deal breaker if you dont mind it. I drove around with the wheels in my sig for over a year before putting on some wheel spacers. I had no problem with them. I do not have them anylonger as i moved up to 20's

OP, 500 for the M45's arent badd, just make sure they are not bent. I paid 400 for mine with tires, LOL. I love Texas

Those 19's are good at that price. I would make sure non are bent first but yes I would go for those and sell your wheels. Maybe that will pay for your tires and you can possibly come out ahead.

If you want a smooth ride and don't care about looks find a set of wheels off an SL model Maxima. They have 17 inch rims with a more meatier tire which will absorb impacts better. You can probably find them for cheap.
