Default Tire Suggestions

Alright guys, i am in need of some new tires for the max. price is a big factor for me. but i also need these to last longer than my other sets have.

245/35ZR20 is what im looking for. preferably with a sidewall rating of XL

i've had Nexen N3000's and they were alright but its only a summer tire.

i am looking at the Kumho Ecsta 4X KU22's. they seem to have some pretty good reviews and the price isnt too bad. but the tread rating of 420AAA doesnt sound very good.

So, What tires do you guys suggest? I appreciate any and all input! Thanks!

I have the Ecsta 4 on my rears. They seem to perform well and the wear has been even so far.

In my opinion, the road hazard warranty is totally worth it; can't really beat free repair and/or replacement, ya feel me?

Yeah the v12's are a softer tire, but you should be able to get 30,000 out of them. Why do you want any thing but a HiPo tire, you live in Texas??

whats a hipo tire?

and the v12's have no warranty whatsoever. the kumhos come with a stock 40k mile warranty.

and soft tires dont do well here in texas at all. it gets so hot here it melts the softer rubber.

i was actually thinking of going back to stock height so maybe i could get a thicker tire which would allow me a longer lifespan of the tire...

Achilles has gotten great reviews. A lot of stance/VIP guys run them. Only complain is that there a little noisy, but I haven't really noticed them too noisy. G-Maxx is supposedly better than the V12s.

I have OE tires for Corvettes, Solstices and Skys (Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-2) and have put at least 30,000 on them since I've had them. And I got them used from KCMAXX with my wheels. And they still have plenty of tread left.

That's a nice tire James, I've never seen those before.

Nick, you misread that....it says "starting at 229.00". The size you need might be closer to 300.00 a piece.

You have to remember James you still run a 18" tire. The warranty and tread life is much different. Once you get into 20's things change. A warranty on a 20" 35 series tire is harder to find.
