Default Car Washes Ruin Your Wheels

Unfortunately I live in an apartment and have to go to car washes to clean my car. I envy those who can wash there cars by hand lol. Anyways, is it me or do car washes mess up your wheels? Especially the front driver side wheel where the mechanism connects to pull your car. I know I'm not hitting the curbs because its on the driver side. I swear they are getting worse and that is the only thing i can think of.

Maybe this is a stupid question lol but I wanted to see if anyone else was having this issue.

Thanks

Im sure they could. The tracks yours tires fit in are tight. I personally would never do that. Why do you go to one of those DIY places??

I can't really find any where I live. Everyone around here is lazy so all we have are car washes. I went to one in Thornwood, NY but there is a time limit so you cant really clean your car well.

I'm just going to have to throw buckets of water out of my window on top of my car lol.
I would probably get kicked out of my apartment for that lol.

Just go to a coin wash. Use the sprayer to soak the car. Bring a bucket and some car wash soap. Hand wash it there. Simple.

Locate a spot with a DIY hoes, another cool thing you can do if your car is not to dirty, meaning pollen or light dust, microfiber rag and a detailer wax, it will shine, do it on the regular, but if your car is really dirty find a wash place.

A reputable car wash with a track would never allow tires or wheels to be damaged. They make a living washing all types of cars, many of them very expensive. That would be a liability leaving them open to law suits and loss of business.

Bring up the issue of the damaged wheels with the management. Maybe something is out of alignment with their equipment.

You could always get some Optimum No Rinse car wash. All you need is a bucket and a couple gallons of water in it with a couple cap fulls of the ONR solution.
