Default 8.5" With +20 Offset

Hi Guys,

I'm looking at picking up a set of 19X8.5 inch Drag DR-37 wheels. There are two options.... +20 offset and +38.

As far as my math skills go..it looks like the 8.5 with a +20 offset, would be about equal to a 9.25" wheel with a +38 offset. I've seen some threads with guys running 9.5 inch (+35-38) all around with no issues.

What's your guys' opinion? Will a 19X8.5 +20 work well all around? Note that I'm lowered on Teins, and I do not have my fenders rolled.

Cheers guys, Thanks.

Hrrm..yeah I believe it was @Deadbolt who said to look for around +30 for a flush look with a 8.5" wheel. +20 May be pushing it, especially in the front.

Yes thanks for mentioning the tire size...going with Falken 452 @ 245/40/19.

Any other tire guys with an opinion? I know the +20 will be a close call in the front,,should have no issue in the rear. Might stagger the offset, but that cuts my options for tire rotation.

HMMMM im not too sure on this one.

I had the 350z anniversary wheels 18x8.5 +33 in the rear with a spring drop and those rubbed in the rear. I can only imagine +20 would poke out about an inch in the rear.

with +20 i can almost bet you would need to roll your fenders and probably camber out your wheels.

Cant say much about the front, I dont have any ideas as what it would look like.

Yeah I hear ya Jingiko. Discount Tire and Tirerack, both default me to the +38 offset wheel. That's their recommended size/offset. Alright, time to pull the trigger on payday. Stay tuned for pics.

I have the 04 maxima. Tried fitting 19 x 8 @ +38 with 255 35's on and the scrubbed on the bolt which connects the bumper to the rear guard (guards rolled).
Are you guys cambering your rears or getting away with it anyway somehow?
Hub to guard comes in at 335mm (ozzy here folks)
