might be the antennae in your car going bad.. possibly time for an aftermarket radio with a better receiver.

On my 07, the antennae is built in to the rear glass...I've heard that if you use metallic-type tint that it can affect the reception...

You may want to pop the interior panels off of the C pillars and make sure that the antennae plug is plugged in. There should be a plug on the rear widow for the defroster, and one for the antennae. I'm not sure which side they are on. I have mine tinted and didn't notice any issues, but I have an aftermarket stereo with a stronger tuner.

Replace the condenser in the rear window defrost circuit. It does two things. First it prevents the contacts in the rear defrost relay from getting burnt from switching the ~160watt load off and on. The second is noise suppression back into the car's electrical system.

I went with an aftermarket antenna. After I swapped out my Bose for an aftermarket HU, my reception was extremely poor. Much better now, although getting AM radio after the sun sets remains dodgy.

Just a quick trivia question for everyone - who knows (WITHOUT LOOKING IT UP! ) what AM and FM stand for?
