Default Removing Factory CD Player

I've taken apart my center console without issue but I'm a bit stuck on how to remove the factory CD/Cassette player. I see it's secured to a larger aluminum piece but I can't get at the screws..do I have to remove the whole aluminum piece?

Anyone got any advice?
