I used peel and seal before in a previous car. I worked well for what it was. But that shit stunk at first. Then two summer's later i noticed something dripping from the trunk lid. It was the peel and seal. I pulled the carpeting away from other areas including the floor to find a gooey mess.

I will never use peel and seal again. But if you must use it, put down at least two layers.

From alot of different boards and forums, peel and seal has been frowned upon as used as a sound deadner in car audio. If it is a must you require such materials, hold off and save up enough money to where you can get some decent product. You can always buy some of what others didn't completely used (as a fairly decent price, like I did) If you want to do it right, and not have two big projects, one for cleaning up the mess and installing a better quality product than peel and seal, save up some money and get the right stuff the first time around.
