Default Headunit And Speaker Questions

Just doing some research before I make mod decisions, right now I'm looking at getting a new headunit and replacing the OEM speakers.

Probably going with a single din since all the double dins that I've seen are over $400 lol. So onto the questions:

1. What are some of the best single din headunits out?

2. How difficult is the install? Is there any wiring/soldering or is it plug and play?

3. How hard is it to replace speakers?

4. How hard is it to install subs? I'd like to keep as much trunk space as possible

Thanks for the help

Around how much are you looking to spend total for a setup?

That's a lot of questions... Most of which are hard to answer. Do some research around here and see if its something you think you're up to. Nothing is plug and play. It will all require wiring.

300.00 isn't much of a budget though. Maybe get a small sub and use your stock system.

Your looking at $200 for a decent, single-din head unit...$300 for a higher end model. You're going to be at $100 or better for a set of front speakers. To stay in your $300 range, get the head unit and front speakers.

Who is the guy to talk to about transferring the top ac/heater radio control screen to the bottom below the stock or aftermarket stereo. I like that and would like to add another screen on the top. And if and when I do that do I hook up the screens together or hook it up llike just having a screen on the headrest

Is there a post about this and it's for a 6th Gen Maxima
