![]() When I start my car my dash gauges do not work, no speedo, no fuel, no oil temp, no tach, AC doesn't function, steering wheel doesn't automatically go into place. The radio works, the blinkers work on the outside but do not blink on the dash, same with hazard. The wipers work, the radio controls on the steering wheel works. I have no idea what is going on. The low fuel light works and is on because the fuel gauge doesn't work, I know I have gas. So basically it's specific to dash gauges (not dash lights), auto steering wheel going into place, Heat/AC not coming on, interior blinkers not blinking in dash. I'm thinking it's a fuse but I cannot locate the fuse that controls the dash gauges. I checked the boxes on drivers side, near battery and under left panel near washer fluid tank and can't see to figure out which one controls the dash based on the abbreviation on the panel. |

The same thing happened to me a while back. Its a fuse, I can't remember which one but I basically checked all of them until I found it. You should get a test light.

I am sure you will get some answers in a few minutes. It will probably be helpful if you provide more information about your Maxima. Starting with the year and model and whether you have done any specific Mods to your dash such as LED light conversion.

I have a 2004 Nissan Maxima SE no electrical modifications other than changing interior lights (dome, rear plate and floor) to superwhite LED's about 2 years ago. |

Ok cool, thanks for the heads up. I'm gonna get a light tester and give it a try. I'm sure I'll come across it.

Did you check the fuses under the steering column?

If you are not sure just check all the fuses under the dash, but I think K is right.

Mine did this a couple of weeks ago. You don't need to pull the needle off just spin it back around the other way and it should be good.
The cluster comes off the dash with just a few screws and the front comes off the cluster with just a few clips. Not really hard at all. |

Kinda late but, it happened to me a few months back, you need ceramic disk magnets from Lowe's . Just Position the magnets over the fuel gauge and it will come back over.
