Default Amp Hookup

Hello, first post and such

I did search, but found way to much information then I need, and become confused. I figured I should just ask direct questions and hopefully get direct answers.

I discovered the rear deck Sub replacement. Sweet mother of glory, I'm doing this.

I would love a list of things I'll need.

Amp (mono or 2 channel, watts, ohms)
Subs (8 inch, free air subs)
Amp wiring kit
And....?

I would need to get the signal from the stock radio to the amp. How? I can wire the amp, and mount the subs, I'm just crazy confused about ohms, line out converters, etc.

Help me and break it down barney style, or link to a thread this has been discussed already and I missed?

If you're replacing the rear deck speakers i believe kenwood makes adapters wire to rca and just wire it to the speaker wire.
