Default Wilwood

Hello everyone, I'm not sure if this has been asked but i used the search option and couldn't find anything. I'd like to run these rotors

Nissan Maxima 2004-2008, Alien Brakes High performance Brake Rotors and Brake Pads

and use Wilwood calipers but i checked their site and I'm not going to lie they have a lot of products and its slightly intimidating hahah. I'm not sure what calipers i need, has anyone had this specific set up?

Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure there's a sticky thread with the rest of the brakes info. Check that section.

A handful have run Wilwood so you should be able to get some good advice.

Hahaha! Thanks, I know people can run that set up just trying to find what kind of wilwoods (part number / name) I'll take a look though, thanks!

OH... Do you have rims already or still stock wheels, depending on which stock or rims you have you want to make sure they will fit or you might need spacers

I don't think it's so important WHICH caliper, as it is getting the proper bracket for the caliper. You can buy calipers individually, but you need a specific bracket to fit the Wilwoods to the car...your stock brackets will NOT work.

My right front squeals like a scalded cat. Brian @ Fastbrakes said it is normal as they are racing brakes...I don't believe him, as it is only the right front that makes noise. I even flipped the pads inside/out, and installed the anti-squeal shims....no change, still squeals...

That's the only thing stopping me from getting these. I hate break squeal with a passion.

Huh see i also didn't know that...That would drive me nuts. I really love the look of the Wilwoods too hmm tough decisions ahead. Has anyone tried the EBC pads? Has anyone tried the Brembo (If they're even compatible)

Mine didn't squeal... I think it comes down to how the washers sit and hold the caliper... With the alien rotors.. And pads that came with the kit I ran mine for two years.. And didn't have any squeal...

So I found a 4 piston kit but those are just for the front, do you guys just have your wilwoods in just the front? There isn't a 4 piston kit for the rear and I'm finding a lot of front kits and rear kits. Both around 1300-1400 each. Is this what you guys paid?

The rear is too expensive. Only ballin enough to get the tears was Staggered. There was a group buy for the rears but it was a FAIL.

I got the HAWK pads with my kit, and I think everyone that had squealing issues had the same pads. If I remember correctly, 2 guys switched to a different pad and the squeal went away...I don't remember which pad they switched to...
