Default Total Gas Mileage On Display

Hey Guys, I just filled the tank in the Max the other day and only for $54 on premium here in VA. Normally after a full tank I get 372 miles. What came as a shocker was that the total mileage posted at 276. I checked the ECM and no codes populated. This is now the second time this has occurred. The work-around was to pull one of the terms on battery for "reset". Could the ECM be on the way out?
Thanks as always

Not sure if I am understanding correctly are you talking about the "distance to empty " on the dash board ? Cause if you are that changes as your mpg changes per say . Go to the mpg calculator on the dash board and see if that has changed . Have you done anything different maybe you don't drive as much highway now then you did before causing it to decrease the mpg setting also decreasing the dte . Correct me if I'm reading your post wrong .

As stated by @kobejunior, the distance to empty (displayed on your dash computer) will vary depending on the average MPG (miles per gallon) that you get on a tank of gas.

Depending on driving and road conditions our 6th gen Maximas usually get anywhere between sixteen and thirty two MPG. The better the MPG the higher your DTE will be. The lower your MPG then expect to have a lower DTE.
