Default Suspension/Springs Help

Hey guys this is my first post but I've been creeping this site for about 2 months and got lots of great tips and advice. So anyway I'm thinking about using the Megan Racing Performance Lowering Springs 1.25 front and rear. I don't know if any1 has used them or thoughts on them also I was thinking of pairing them with some stagg shocks. I'm looking to get out of it cheap but I don't want my max to ride like a tank or a pogo stick. I just want better handling and a lower ride hight. Any tips or advice would help the cheaper the better but I still want quality

First off...Welcome!!

This is an area you dont want to cheap out on. Megan...eeehh. I would go with Tein or Progress myself, but thats just me. Shocks and struts...I never heard of Stagg. Use a brand name here. Stick with KYB or even Monroe.

I just got my Canuck motorsport springs put on. Relatively cheap alternative rather than going with Progress or one of the others. And I love how it rides!

Stagg is a shock and strut combo I found on eBay I did a little research and heard some good and bad things but they are fairly unknown to most people including myself so I curious for more reviews. I'm going to be going at the work myself so mechanic cost isn't going to factor into it. I'm looking for a package that works together that won't hurt my wallet to much. I've seen a lot of people on here use progress springs and I didn't hear anything bad about them. Just want something that will work together well. Any idea what would be a good match for a progess

When I say this Im not trying to be a dick so dont take it that way...

Maybe modding isnt for you right now or maybe you should do a different project. One thing I learned from being here is to to mods the right way the first time. In the beginning I tried to cheap out,but in the long run it costs you more than just doing it the right way to begin with. Cheap and quality usually arent 2 words that go together. Some times cheap is well....cheap. Some times you can get away without spending as much, it all depends on what your doing. The other day my neighbor was working on his 2012 Mustang GT, you know what he was doing, he was cutting his springs. I talked to him for a few and just had to walk away. He thought that was the greatest thing in the world. He probably spent 25,000+ on his car and he's cutting springs, not smart.

This is just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions...its your car do what you will...

I'm not saying I don't have the money I've save up a decent amount of cash to buy most of what I want at once. I'm just trying to find a good deal that works well together and I would perfer no more than a 1.5 drop. I'm looking into modding my car its long over due. I've done some small things already like drilled and slotted rotors, intake and I powerdercoated my factory 18s. I just need to get my suspension handled first before I continue with the rest of my plans

Thanks for the input and I'm glad I found this site everyone on here knows their stuff I found more incite on this site than anywhere else and it's really great that all the members are so willing to help out. When I get out of work I'm making my decision and ordering my suspension. Already got my new bumper and grille on order so I'm going to be changing my paint a little bit, maybe something 2tone. Someone hit my car in a parking lot and took off at least they missed my hood and lights

I have to agree with you. Ive been on many forums and this one is by far the best. If you have a question, problem or want to mod you will find the answers you need.

Good luck with your suspension. By the way, if you have some extra cash look into the Progress rear sway bar. This is a great upgrade as well.

Sorry guys I didn't get back to you yesterday but I ordered my suspension yesterday (kyb& progress) but I was wondering if the you need to relocate the clutch master cylinder or anything else to add a Megan front strut bar

I might be a little late on this but Megan springs ride like shit, and coming from someone that drives a mega slammed 350z with stiffest setting coilovers, that should REALLY tell you something, if you want that much of a drop save up for coils, TRUST me you'll thank me later, if you want to go ahead and try it out then go for it and see for yourself
