Default Suspension Noise

I just put on new springs and shocks this week. I now have a binding noise comming from the front drivers side up top. It only happens in parking lots or turning at low speeds. Is there a place up top thats advised to grease, the bearing or mount? There is no noise at speed and other than that it sounds and rides great. I've seen the posts about the rear bushings but can you or do you need to put any on the encased shock mount bushing?

I get the same binding/creaking coming from the strut mounts. You should grease the rubber bushings. That's the only thing that could be making noise.

I had this problem with Eibach's. I did everything that was suggested and nothing worked. Took them out,put on Progress springs...noise gone.

The reason is either eibach springs or not installed correctly.

I have a little bit of creaking noise coming from the strut plates. I can hear it when I turn the wheel side/side when the car is not moving. I have to grease the rubber bushings and see if it goes away.

That's a temporary fix Don. Did you make sure and install everything back the same way it was when you pulled it off?? I have the same set up as you and I have no noise what so ever. That usually happens when soemthing under there is not sweated properly or with eibach springs.

I took everything apart for the 3rd time. I put grease on the mount bushings and the noise has defiantly gotten better. I'll see if I can live with the slight noise. If not I'll do it again. Thanks for the input. I wish I saw this site before I bought my springs possibly would have gone progress over eibach.

Everyone needs to understand that Don hears noises that most people would neverrrrrrrrrrrr notice. He hunts down every vibration you can imagine, hes probably talking about a completely different sound

Ok so the noise is still there and it's annoying. After taking it apart and getting no results is it possible I messed up my driver side endlink or front swaybar? Because I feel the bind in the floor as well and don't notice it in the strut as much.

Bumping an old thread-

I'm having a binding noise, floor level, rear driver side. Haven't had time to take it apart. Going to check end links when I do. If its something else, like a ball joint, what would be easiest way to tell?

Ball joint shouldn't be a binding noise, they will typically cause a "thump" type of noise. Check on your end links...any better of a description on the noise?

Does 'annoying as he'll count?

There is occasional thumping. Mostly when turning right and the weight shifts.

I am also having this exact same problem. Slow turns you can hear a popping/binding noise and going over uneven surfaces at a slow speed you can definitely hear it, I also hear a louder pop that can be felt through the floorboard during a long sweeping turn where the car's weight will shift. I have changed out both cv's, both endlinks, both tie rod ends. I am riding on eibach springs with sensen shocks both fairly new. I do have the original strut caps and I have heard the bearings can go bad in those and that being the only thing I haven't changed I will be doing those next and will post whether that fixes my problem or not. Anyone changed those yet?
