Default Stiffer Rear Spring

Hello org, i need imput on stiffer rear springs. Put simply the trunk system is very heavy thus creating severe sagging in the rear. I have counterd this wiht spring risers (clamp style, 2 on each side-pushing coils up) While that is working for me, i always wondered if anyone make a stiffer rear spring for the car?

i have searched and cannot find any. I was wondering if the springs from a pathfinder and/or infinity FX will fit and if they do are they stiffer? now i have no technical knowledge of either spring set up let alone the size for our car (Width, etc)

What are your thoughts on stiffer springs?
If the pathfiner/fx springs the same size as our maximas? (i want to say no)?
If they are would they fit the max?

Moog makes heavy duty coil springs for towing purposes. I don't know if they make anything for the Maxima. You'd have to email them to see if they have something that fits. They have a big selection of universal types in different spring rates and sizes. I had a set for my Taurus when I had my heavy ass JL audio system and it kept a nice ride height without bottoming out with passengers in the back. It didnt help that Taurus rear springs suck anyways.

When he does find them, Im pretty sure he wont but if he did, his maxima would ride like complete ass.

Obviously. Thats why I said to email them. I'm sure they have more knowledge since they specialize in suspension components.

My 99 Taurus developed SAS too (saggy-ass-syndrome)! Putting a set of new shocks/springs helped tremendously. I didn't realize how poorly the car was handling until I put the new springs/shocks in...it was like a different car.

- Stiffer springs will make your car ride very, very harsh specially with just the rear being that stiff. The problem isn't the suspension but the weights you guys throw in the back. You have 3 options, Get rid of the weight, get airbags or just deal with the problem you created.

- No, pathfinder and Fx springs are not the same and therefor they wont work.

- ^^

Here are my thoughts and opinions on the matter.

What if you do a fiberglass enclosure or something, that should save on some weight, maybe you already do, then disregard this.

Well my sub enclosure is fiberglassed, however it houses a 12W7 plus two JL amps (1000/1 and 500/5-amp rack) and and extra battery. So those alone kinda killed my weight haha.

I always liked bags so gonna try and research those for a bit and see what i can get. BTW do you know a good source. Thanks

If I recall , SKEP has lowering springs in the front and installed back the OEM springs in the rear because of the weight of his system.

the drop is pretty even but remember he doesnt drive his car very often , but then again he is riding on 22s so the wheel gap isnt that noticeable.

I dont have that much of a heavy system but after I did the AGX struts it stiffer the rear up , I dont even have the settings to 8 yet but I dont rub in the back anymore.

ksport is super pricey, lol @3200, universal air is around 2300. I am researching some stuff and have contacted some folks on pricing and waiting to hear back. I just have to see if anyone on the org has contacts for air ride.

as for the air ride , there are pleanty of guys running them

its the new HellaFlush Scene as they call it , im not all too much into it because its more show then go for me.

as for contacts , I belive I had an account with K sports air ride because Tang ask me about them, but I dont get any discounts because I havent purchase anything from them directly.

If I had purchase like 10 sets of them , I would get a discounts , sorta like your group buy deals.

Since its not a very wise investment for me , I never dealt with them.
