Default Replacing Strut As We Speak...Need Help

So I'm replacing my stock strut with kybs (drivers side is gone, springs not in the budget right now). Bottom two bolts came apart just fine but I'm having trouble with the stabilizer nut. Problem is the nut turns, but so is the bolt its on and I can't feel/see anywhere to grip it from the other side. Am I screwed?

Get some vise grips and grip it from behind.

Trust me it will work....

Alright , there is (3) bolts on the top mount I belive they are 14mm nuts.

On the bottom strut are 17 and 19 mm bolts.

I assume you have a spring compressor already and you've compressor the spring.

the nut your trying to take off is the top center of the strut , CORRECT ?

#1 you need to place the spring/strut on the floor and make sure your have it laid out FLAT and facing the nut and spring away from YOUR FACE,

The center nut you will need a OPEN END WRENCH ( maybe a gear ratchet wrench or speed wrench ) and some channel locks to hold the center peice.

thats the easiest way I can explain it.

once that nut comes off , be careful when removing the spring/ and spring compressor off.

When that happens with a stabilizer, or a tie rod, I tear the rubber boot off, and grab a pair of channel locks and use them to grab the stud. Then I use the impact to get the nut off. Then you need to replace the tie-rod/stabilizer with a new one.

What I usually do when no air tools are available. Is I loosen the strut nut while still on the car all the way until few threads are left. Then take the entire assembly out and I promises it will be cake the rest of the way. I know this wont help you now but maybe it will help someone else.
