Default Question About Cross Drilled Rottors

I just had my rotors installed today. I have never had cross drilled rotor's an this maybe a stupid question. Are they suppose to get a ring around them where the brake rubs against them. By the time i got home i noticed on both side's ring's from the brakes... Better yet any body have pics of there used rotors on there car? It makes sense but that was really quick...

The brake pads wore the zinc coating off the rotors.

It's doesn't look like anything is wore off. Just look's like a dirty ring. I i only live less than 3 miles from the shop so i don't think it would take the zinc off that quick. Im thinking it might be the oil that comes on the rotors rubbing against the brake pads. I'll keep in eye on it maybe once it all burns off it will be ok... Like i said haven't even put 5 miles on them yet...lol.. These are the rears.. My rotors an pads where shot. So i decided to upgrade... Im gonna get the fronts in a couple of weeks....

Did you get new pads too? Is there any abnormal squeaking or squealing?
