Default My Next Project..

When I was doing my springs and struts I realized I have a crack in my front passenger side rotor. I was just going to buy some stockers but then I came across these.

I got them for 191.00 for all 4 rotors and ceramic pads all around. The quality looks pretty good as far as I can tell. They come with a 90 warranty.

For all the local Socal people I have the info if anyone else would be interested. This is a company in the Garden Grove/ Anaheim area. They are 191.00 out the door. I can PM you the phone number if youre interested.

Be careful. I bought kinda the same thing off ebay and the co. was in the LA area. They worped in like a month or so. fallow the break in instructions and maybe it will be differant then mine. The ceramic pads are kinda noisy some squeaking till they get to temp. Have fun taken the front rotors off. Get your self a nice big rubber slag! any question hit me up.

Ive taken off the fronts already once before to have them turned so they should come off pretty easily.

No hard braking for like a few days buddy. So start applying your brake more in advance than you usually would when coming to a stop.

Remem.. you never wana go cheap on something as important as brakes.... you rely tremendously on those..

I'll look at home for mine. In the mean time try to avoid slamming on the breaks at speed. traffic is good they say drive up to 30 35mph and break and repeat agian and agian.

Thanks blue max.

I didnt really want to go cheap, trust me Id lve to have the Wilwoods that KC is selling. Just not going to happen for me. It was either these or some stock one that Pep Boys sells. I had some Ebay rotors on my Mustang and while they werent the greatest they held up ok. I think I had them for 2 years before they couldnt be turned anymore.

If you have any trouble getting the stock rotors off...screw the rubber mallet...you're throwing the rotors away anyways...get a friggin handheld sledge and beat the crap out of them...they'll come off!

Thats what i ended up doing when i couldn't get the front rotors off.

Also be sure to release the parking brake in the rear by sticking a flat tip screw driver in the hole in the rear rotor. When you put them back on adjust the parking brake until they just barely catch then back off one notch.

Thats good to hear. I know several people who have ebay rotors on various vehicles and they havent had a problem either. I do think alot of it has to do with proper break in.

eBay rotors are a hit and miss, I will tell you that much. I've seen a member warp the CRAP out of his rotors in a short period of time.

Last I remember, break-in process was 40mph to 5 mph with moderate braking for about 8X. Just don't sit on the pad for too long, or slam on the brakes. Then for the next 300 miles do moderate braking and you should be good.

By the way, let us know how those brakes work for you.
