Make sure you get an alignment before putting any miles on, or you'll scrub the tread right off 'em

Lots of members have had OEM shocks/struts with springs (like myself) with no problems. I think a good number just wait 'till they start to go out. Whatever is peace of mind for you!

Sway bar helps you with the "sway" of the car when turning or when you're driving on a curvy road.

If you have a bit extra money, I'd return the springs you bought and buy yourself a set of new/used coilovers. At some point you'll end up buying coilovers anyway, so why not do it now and save yourself money for later.

Just a suggestion and it's entirely up to you.

Rani,

Looks like he's in Colorado, so I'm guessing he has to deal with snow. I've read coilovers don't play well with road salt.

To the OP, OEM shocks/struts are typically rated for 50K miles. If you have an 04 w/60K, then I'm sure you would benefit from new shocks/struts. You can get a full set of GR-2's on Ebay for about $170 shipped.

that exactly why i went with the tein springs.they only lower 1.5F and .5R and i drive my car every day so on the snow will be a bitch to drive if lower the car more then that, also i had coil overs before on my integra and its true they dont like salt at all,as soon as some gets in theme good luck getting off. thanks for all the input i think i might just change the shocks and struts since im going to be in there any way.

My advice, do it right the first time. Springs and struts, considering you have 60K on stock ones, they will go soon, specially being lowered and more stress put on them. You'll be taking everything apart in less then 3 months to install new struts, why not do it right the first time and that way you have piece of mind and ride smooth.

Nope, not anymore. Only thing available are the KYB GR-2s or Monroes, I believe, you can get those brand new for 193 shipped.

As soon as you get these on let me know how the ride is. I've been very interested in the Tein springs. I want to lower mainly for the look but don't want to sacrifice ride quality too much.

The big debate over which springs to get has made me put it off.
