Default Coilovers Yes Or No

I live in new york city where the roads are very rough and bumpy and wehave a lot of pot holes. I am in need of struts badly. Do you recommend struts or coilovers. Also I do not want to drop my ride at all. If anything I would raise it if I had a choice but ultimately I want a smooth ride ovr these dam bumps. Can any enlighten me. What do you recommend. Thank you

In your situation get some monroe shocks. Coilovers would be a waste of money since you don't want to lower your car coilover struts blow the same as regular struts blow.
