Default Changing Out Springs/Shocks

My head hurts from reading all the posts on suspensions and reccomendations for which suspention setup is best.

I went with Eibachs and KYB GR2. We will see what happens.

What else do you think I need while I have it all apart. I know I need the strut mounts and bearings. But anything like spring isolaters or shock mounts ect ect....

I had Eibachs and I was not happy, ride was harsh and still had a 2inch gap upfront. Progress rides way better.

Get a pair of vise grips and grab the back side of the endlink nut...

Trust me...it works. Loosen the nut as much as you can and then you should be able to slip the vise grips behind it.

Next time use a hex key to hold the shaft in place and open end wrench to remove the nut. That's the correct way of doing it, unless you have air tools and then you don't need anything. It will come right off.

Also, you don't need anything but springs and struts, the rest go back on. Only replace if they needed.

Well the fronts done now im at the back and none of the bolts want to break free. I am using an impact gun to try to remove them and have sprayed the heck out of the bolts with PB Blaster. Any other ideas?

Well finally done. All it took was a tourch and an air hammer. It was worth the aggravation, and money savings, but i would suggest if you do try it on your own have ALL the tools avalible for possible use. Or find friends that do. If you dont think you will need them you will. Be prepared.....

Ride quality is good, not at all harsh. The look is also much better.

Thanks to all of you that gave me suggestions and help. Great site and people.

Pics Pics Pics. I will be getting my done soon. I'll just pay the price of ignorance and have someone do it. Where did you buy your parts? I am finding them on Amazon and Advanced Autoparts. (they have a coupon code now) but still higher than Amazon.

I am working all day today but I will get pics up. Its not really that hard to do. Infact the fronts were very easy to do. I just ran into a rust problom in the back. My local Autozone rents the spring compressor for free. You wont need it to put the new struts and springs together though. So it really cost me $4 for PB blaster (a must).

I got my springs at Stillen.com for $260 and the struts and shocks at suspensionwharehouse.com $198.
