Default Anybody have any experience with Vogtland lowering springs on a 6/6.5 Gen?

I don't want to start a Tein vs Progress vs Eibach thread, there are enough of those already. I'm just wondering if anybody has any experience with Vogtland springs? What little I could find on them seems like they have a nice ride. I'm just not totally sold on the fact that you get a 1.4" drop both front AND back. I don't know if I want to go that low in the rear. I'm currently thinking of putting some springs on my stock struts (they only have 28K miles), and then switching to GR-2's when the stockers eventually go. I don't want the car to ride like a go-cart, so I'm leaning towards the Teins, but the few people I've seen using Vogtlands say they ride really nicely. I know there was somebody using them on a Maxima, but everything I found were people using them on other makes/models.

I've never even heard of that brand! lol. Out of all the brands though, i hear progress keeps your ride close to stock feel... thats the only readon i bought the progress springs... I, like you, did not want to be driving a rattle trap or feel every single bump after being dropped... and from what i hear from others, you wont lose that with the progress as much as other brands... but thats just what ive heard... i still need to get mine installed and i have stock struts that they will go on too.

and to be honest.... i dont think you'd like the 1.4" drop in the back.... especially if yoou have a sub box and stuff.

1.4 front and rear will give you big time sag look dude. Progress is best for looks and ride plus I've never heard of that brand.

Thanks guys, I don't have a massive system, but I do have 2 8" subs/boxes and 3 amps in the trunk. Everything is mounted up near the back seats. I figured the 1.4" drop in the back would be too much...so I guess it's back to Tein vs. Progress!

Get it up here to me...I'll take anything apart (the 60 gallon Craftsman Pro compressor helps a little too!)!

Yeah, but look on the bright side...the ride up will be nice and smooth on your stock suspension...and by the time you get back home, your new suspension will be settled...it's win/win! :D
