Default ABS Fix

Fist of all, i want to thank nismo 101 and tang for helping me out with this, my abs started acting up , the dealer wanted $99 at wheel to clean up the abs sensor, so i decided to find the TPS for this, i follow the tps and it was bullshit, nismo 101 showed me how to take the abs sensor without taking the rotor off , the tps tells you to take the rotor off and the hub to clean the sensor but nismo told me to follow the wire behind the hub and use a 10mm wrench to disconnect the sensor(actually is a 12mm wrench)my sensor had a lot of rust all over it, i used some brake cleaner on the sensors and inside the hub, i'm going to let them sit until tomorrow and put it back together

Default Re: ABS Fix

When I tried to remove the ABS sensor in my Taurus, it was so corroded that the plastic was stuck inside the knuckle. I unbolted the sensor, and while attempting to pull it out of the housing, I broke the sensor. The part that was seated inside the knuckle was stuck there. I had to pull the rotor, and take a socket that was just SLIGHTLY smaller than the sensor, and use that to push the broken piece out from the front. Don't know if this is an issue, or not with the Maximas, but I figured I'd toss it out there.
