Default What Do You Think?

I placed the order for my y-pipe from racingline a week ago, but the item is on backorder, so I am itching. In the meantime I came across this for about the same price. Are these comparable in performance? With the factory O2 slot will I still throw a CEL? Any input is appreciated? http://http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-Racing-Exhaust-Headers-02-06-Nissan-Altima-3-5L-V6-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem2c5c13641fQQitemZ19052 3335711QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccesso ries#ht_2442wt_732

I believe headers are going to trip the CEL.

Where can u find the o2 sims or nonfoulers at? Also I read somewhere that the yet has to be retrofitted and there is some shaving near the starter that has to be done? Anybody got any feedback on putting these on our car regarding quality and performance?

Default Re: What Do You Think?

the issue here is there were 3 - 4 differnt version of the copies headers that was made,

I had the TopSpeed Pro-1's but they no longer carry these , mines cleared without any issues , only issue was it didnt have the EGR on the rear header which was fine, I dont need EGR or any Emissions in FL.

These almost look like the ones TopSpeeds

Ok so I've been sorting through the comments and I decided to go with the headers and fouler setup then welding the tube for EGR. I am also planning to install some sort of resonator to quiet the system down some. Can you still use a wideband O2 effectively with it being mounted out of the direct stream? I'm thinking too that NWP spacers will complement the headers? Then lightweight pulley, Apexi, and +2 timing!! Any suggestions?

heading in the right direction so far , im not big of a fan about advance timming.

I still made decent power without it but I was running a standalone - piggyback

Nizmo, I did not have a stand alone. After I installed every bolt on I noticed the timing advance made all the difference. I did not "need" the timing advanced until I literally had every bolt on...

I would never do timing advance with an intake and ypipe..

Anybody have SAFC w O2 foulers? Does moving them out of the exhaust stream affect the tune?
