Default Those Who Have Successfully Fabricated EGR Port To Headers

I've heard of the SS flex pipe as the easiest, who has been successful w this as an option? My plan is to have a bung welded that the existing EGR can bolt to as that seems to me the closest to original. Does it matter which cylinder it is drawing from? What thread size should be used? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
