Default Pressure Sensors

Okay, so I know a lot of people have aftermarket exhaust and entire systems on their cars here, but here's one stupid question for everybody.

Isn't the check engine light going to go on if I install any kind of aftermarket exhaust? The pressure will be different in the aftermarket vs. stock.

Also, since I am very new to this, a coworker told me that the computer should automatically adjust after a couple miles of driving; just like the low air pressure sensor would go off once you've filled air in the tires. I'm just getting a lot of opposition to touch the car and it's pissing me off, because the mods I want to do I feel are minor. I didn't even install a CAI like half this forum community has because I didn't see a humongous upgrade in it; although now I still kind of want one.

Can anybody justify or explain how this works? I want to make sure my car passes inspection.

your ECU will correct itself after a intake and exhaust install.

it will basically re-calculate A/F

after every mod install you should disconnect the battery and let the car re-learn itself after 20mins or so idle, then go for a drive
