Default Precat Removal

What exactly is involved in the removal of the precats? The mechanic who will be doing the job said that it should take five hours but he says he will not have to remove any suspension parts or any of the intake parts. Is this right? Thanks in advance.

Sounds about right..when I did this I just had to remove the upper intake manifold and and some brackets around there. 5 hours sounds about right also.

Why is it so long? What all has to be removed for this to constitute five hours? Thanks

I just got a quote from a trusted shop - 1 hour front / 3.5 hours rear (firewall) - so yes about 5 hours seems right.
