Default Which Intake

I have been searching for a new intake. I want to go cold air this time. I have the stillen sri right now. An im not looking to spend 250 - 300. When all your paying for is a tube an filter. So here are the one i am looking at...

First up cosmo racing cai.

Street Tuning Auto Piece BMW Performance Parts - COSMO Racing

But the cosmo looks like the ebay one. Maybe wrong.

STAINLESS WASHABLE FILTER + COLD AIR INTAKE 04-07 MAXIMA V6 3.5L BLUE ALUMINUM | eBay

An the DC Sport

DC SPORTS CARB LEGAL CAI COLD AIR INTAKE 02-06 NISSAN ALTIMA V6 / 04-06 MAXIMA | eBay

I know all these will perform just as good as the Nismo , Injen an Takeda. So any comments would be great. How ever no matter which one i buy unless i get the dc i will buy a new fliter for it....

It a pipe. They are all shaped the same way. An should be close to the same diameter.. Your paying for the name sir. You can buy a fruit of the loom t-shirt at wal-mart for a few bucks. Or buy one with the nike logo for 30 -40.. Either way your still getting a hanes or fruit of the loom shirt... An they don't make fujita anymore..

well if your going by that logic... why did you post this thread? if you dont care of name brand, than its just "a pipe". slap whatever you feel like on your engine and call it day.

I had a fujita, screamed like a banshee but caused me hesitation when accelerating at certain speeds for some reason. I lucked up on a used Nismo CAI and love it. Not as loud but does the do.

I don't care about the noise. It seems alot of people want them for the noise. I just want the hp numbers i don't care if it is quiet. But i am gonna go with the cosmo racing cold air intake. have researched them an watched alot of videos of them. Descent numbers an sounds good to. I like that it uses the factory intake housing like the Nismo. I have a k&n fliter from my old setup that i will use. The fliter makes the intake......................

I have the stillen sri right now. An it sounds good an performs. But i lifted the hood awhile back to look at something an felt how warm the fliter was. this is why i am going cai. I have always been an sri person. but the max has alot of heat compared to some other cars i have had. i like those little heat shields that come with them... Like they work..

i've been looking into a cai as well. but at this time, if a cai's gonna take away from my low end i'd rather not change it. i wanted to ask your opinions if im better off getting an sri for improved low end (obviously not a huge improvement), or would i just be better replacing that kleenex looking stock filter with a k&n? thanks.

You would be a lot better with an sri. This is my first ever cai. An i have to say they suck .... I will probably go back to sri soon. Really the only thing it seems good for is make the engine bay look nice. other than that i don't see any difference over an sri..
