Default Flowmasters for 04 maxima

I want to get some flowmaster mufflers for my 04 maxima. Now I don't know what size or series I can get for it to just bolt on. I still want the quad tips on the mufflers. Any help would be awesome since I can't find anything on google unless it's for the older model 5 gen. I have seen some videos of them on and love the sound.

Get some magnaflow 14806 or 14815's bro, might sound and look a little better and it's pretty much the same concept as flow master

Flowmaster doesn't belong on a Maxima.

I heard some video clips on youtube and that's the only one that has the deep growl sound. The magnaflow mufflers were close.

I agree with Raz and Kayg, flowmasters don't belong on a Maxima. They are made for American cars IMO. Do the vibrant mufflers like Kayg suggested.

Hey get what you want. Your car, you're driving it. I personally think the flowmaster's(per youtube video) sound sexy and throaty. I'm actually at a standstill between them and Vibrants. Also you can always get dual outlet flowmasters and have tips welded on since you want to keep the quad tip look(as do I).

I went with the vibrants dual tip 1148 model. One question that I may need help on. Once I receive them and put them on, should I just get rid of the catylac convertor or not?

Technically, you still have cats untill you get headers.Your eliminated rear cat (or 3rd cat) is part of the 3way catalyst system. Its not even monitored for one, has a very small core(regardless of its overall size) and its purpose is to get rid of/lower you remaining Nox limits that the front cats did not manage to get rid of. The front cats(precats) do majority of the emission work, and are restrictive due to the size of the core.

Another option is the Cla mufflers. They are very affordable especially since you are in MI. The supplier is in Toronto.
Here is some pics of them installed on my Max. They are a straight through design. If you keep the stock resonator its a nice growl, it you take the stock resonator off, its a bit raspy.
