Default Which Exhaust To Buy?

I am looking to get a decent exhaust without it having drone, not too loud and still have a decent tone to it. I am looking to spend around $500. Any ideas?

Try to find a used nismo, or get an eBay catback with magnaflow mufflers, although people with exhausts (including me) have drone and I guess it's hard to avoid :/

For magnaflow mufflers many people get these

Magnaflow 14816 Street Series Polished Stainless Steel Oval Muffler with Tip:Amazon:Automotive

and for the resonator I'm not exactly sure but I think this might work, I would need confirmation from someone else that it's the right inlet size though

Magnaflow 10416 Satin Stainless Steel 2.5" Round Muffler:Amazon:Automotive

Or you can go a different route and get these vibrant mufflers

Vibrant 1148 Streetpower Black Flat Oval Muffler:Amazon:Automotive

Thats what's so tough about questions like "Which sounds better" In some ways you are both right.

I've only had the Nismo and really liked it, but I've also heard a lot of good things about Vibrant or Remus if money is no object.

the vibrant sounds great. i have just the ebay catback and the mufflers and have people asking what setup i have all the time. the drone is a little less but still there with the vibrants but after about 2 years i'm pretty used to it almost as if it's stock by now

Hey guys, I did the 6.5 gen conversion but havent done the mufflers yet. Can i just get two 6.5 gen muffler cans with tips to do the swap or is there more involved? Thanks in advance.

Also i was hoping i could get away with just replacing the tips to save on bread. It looks though like where the muffler meets the tips are wider on the 6.5 gens.

The tips can be knocked off with a mallet or hammer. I had mine extended after installing the 6.5 rear. The guy at the muffler shop knocked them right off and pulled them further out. Easy to do.
