Default CAI or Cut For Short Ram Air

So I'm getting my thermal spacers put on by Cory this week and he's also going to install my fujita CAI at the same time. I live where there is a lot of rain and puddles so I'm wondering if I would be better cutting it and making a short intake out of it. Benefits vs downsides to cutting or not? What do you guys think?

If you live in an area prone to rain and flooding do not go with a CAI. Especially if you are dropped. I've nearly hyrolocked 2 cars. It's noth worth it son.
