Default Transmission Solution?

I had my transmission replaced in April last year then in June it started jerking again. For now shes running okay, but I have to have the mounts checked............. I wanted to know what the cause and result of any hope for the Aisin transmission. I know a rebuilt won't cut it, so thankfully warranty is going to put in a new one. Will it last if I do a annual transmission oil change?

My solution was to try using a 06 valvebody but not sure if they're compatiable.

I just taught my wife in a few days. Still needs practice but I confident that if she had to drive the car by herself she could do it. Learning how to drive one I really don't think is that hard it is more of having the desire to want to know how first.

In regards to the actual Trans issue... it was just after I bought my car a few weeks ago that I started hearing about the 04 - 06 tranny issues. What exactly is it and what happens, maybe approx mileage? Knowing I have a manual is it less of an issue. I really not happy to hear while I have a bigger engine I may have traded in a perfectly running 01 max with almost 150k miles on it for an 05 that may need tranny work. Any feedback and reassurance would be greatly appreciated.

Default Re: Transmission Solution?

Do not and I repeat, do not change the Transmission Oil. Because then you're doing worse than good. Leave the oil, if you want add more to it, use Lucas Transmission oil, it'll help a little better. Reason why I said not tho change it because if the transmission is bad the oil would be black, yes, but not only that but the metal shavings that are floating around is actually keeping the clutch packs and planetary gears moving and keeping it from slipping. So if you have to get a new transmission get it. I would say its probably bad solenoids, since the solenoids are the ones that control the shifting of transmission and each one is for each gear. And another thing, if you dont have enough transmission oil inside the transmission you dont have enough hydraulic pressure to move the transmission causing it to make you think your transmission is not working. Yeah so technical but hey after rebuilding a Ford 4L60E Auto transmission it starts getting to you. Though in your case is a FWD Tranny, different transmission type, same components different location.

The reason I say that, man, is because when I had it repaired the oil was contaminated...... I was barely at 55K, the oil should be changed every 60K. I recently spoke to a Nissan tech, and he said that it should be changed every 30K not 60K. I realy think Nissan needs to change their maintenance periods. This is like the sparks plugs.......they state it should be changed every 100K, but my car recently misfired and I had them checked...........they were pretty burnt. I'm not even close to 100K LOL I just hit 75K.

So when the oil is turning black changing the valve body will do you no good. Is this correct.
