Default Ticking, Thumping, Humming Noise - Not Timing Chain Need Help

I have a ticking noise coming from my engine. This is not a timing chain issue since I have had that changed under warranty. I found this tbs NTB07-10a that talks about fuel dampers making that same noise. I found the part number and they are only 24$ a peace. There are two needed on the car My question is where are these located and could I change them my self.

i have been noticing vibration at idle after the car is warm. The only thing I found that relates to my problem is the tbs about fuel dampers. The fuel pump is ok but the dampers go bad.

just an update the dampers are located on the fuel rail half under the manifold and half out. I also saw that Nissan changed the part because the old ones were going bad. I will update again once I put everything in. Courtesy Nissan has the new parts for 22$ each there are 2 needed. I will be doing spark plug change and change the dampers also.

You have to remove the manifold to do it because Nissan decided to mount them upside down. The best time to change them would be when you need a tune-up. There is a dyi on how to replace spark plugs just follow that and when you have the manifold off you will have full access to the fuel rail. There are 4 bolts holding the rail. Remove the bolts and pull the rail out. The injectors will come out with the rail. I got my parts form courtesy Nissan call them to make sure you have the right parts. You should also replace the o rings on the bottom of the injectors when you change the dampeners. I just did mine yesterday and changed the plugs too. It took me 2 hours.

good luck and take your time to make sure every single hose and connector is pluged back in.

Thanks Sunny.
Ya, removing the manifold should not be an issue as I did my spark plugs replacement few months back. I was basically wondering about the fuel pressure.
Did you just unplug the fuel fuse and let the car die to release the fuel pressure or something else ? FSM mentioned only this step. I heard still there will be some pressure and it may spill out. What was your observations ? did the fuel spill our or the pressure was completely released ?

I actually forgot to do that and the only thing I did was disconnect the abttery. The was only a couple of drops of fuel and that was in the dampners. You will be ok without pulling the fuse.
