Default Studder Around 1.5 rpms!

So after I had a mechanic replace my spark plugs . The car started to studer . It only does it at idle you can feel the studder and under very light throttle at exactly 1.5k Rpms . Any ideas what could be causing this problem?
The car is an 07 maxima.

Not much to help you here buddy at least over the net.
For one you mechanic should be able to figure this out..
On a different note, to me it looks sensor/comp based.
The reason for this is I don't think its a misfire. Could be, but I highly doubt it.Those would occur in more extended RPM area then just at 1500 RPM. So what id do is perform ALL the resets. Idle air/throttle position. If that does not solve your issue your mechanic needs to look extensively at live data and see what is happening at that specific RPM.

So i have bad news for you bro..Plugged cat or cats depending which bank those plugs came from.
Look carefuly at the first photo you posted, a keen eye will notice the oil residue around the base of the porcelain. Whats more important and worth noting and is more important is the fact that there are lines in the oil residue pointing upwards. Those lines are caused by combusion/compression pressures blowing out through the plug. This explains why you have a stumble, i almost want to bet your Max started to get sluggish....
Do this for me, while the egine is idling open up your oil fill cap, you will see and hear a lot of pressure there....thats because that combusion/compresion pressures are finding everyplace they can to escape since exhaust is restricted.
Normally you should have some positive pressure out of your oil fill cap and the older the vehicle the more you will get. Accepted would be 1-3psi From my expierience your cat is plugged and the pressure cracked your spark plug.

I swear, when I read some posts I say some of you guys are true specialists at what you do or know.

@Jessecast817
Sorry about your problem. How soon after the new spark plugs did you start getting these? I had the same after like 20k of changing my spark plugs. After 30 on new spark plugs, I got P0420 code and car was behaving like yours. BUT i had put the wrong size spark plugs. So, I put new spark plugs after only 30k on the wrong spark plugs. Car drove perfect for a little and then threw the same code again. What a bummer!

Well, @BurntOrangeAppeal stepped in and gave me some super great tips, advice and recommendation. All what he told me made sense and truly was in line with what was wrong with my car.

Well, I went and paid $100 for dealeraship diagnosis and they told me I need to replace bank 1 catalytic converter. They asked me for $1200 or so. Well, I don't have it so I left dealership and they turned off the check engine light for me. Since I left the dealership, the car has been driving like a champ, though it downshifts on its own at about 30mph when I let go the gas pedal. But my check engine light is off and car drives fine. Maybe someday soon I will buy me a cat and have some mechanic put it on for me.

Where can one buy a new cat from other than the dealership? Do you know?

I hope you get your problem solved. It seems different from mine. I thought mine was my CVT going out, thank God it is not. Well, I hope it is not my CVT going out. I really want my car to last me. I hope you solve your problem. I will be watching this thread.

Thanks for the input @burntorange,
How much will it cost me or run me to fix the plugged cats? A better question I should ask is where can I get 2 cats and can I replace them myself .

And yes your are correct sir, the car sometimes acts like a turtle when I floor it... What other symptoms do clogged cats show? And I only replaced the front 3 plugs back with the original ones I took off a couple of weeks ago.
I didn't have enough time to do the rear ones as to having to remove the manifold.
Man this sucks I've only owned this car for 6 months :/ I really like the car but would hate to get rid of it due to this type of problem ;( .
Can you guys help with maybe helping me find a cheaper solution to this?

The headers would have to be pre ordered cause they only do batches when there's a demand for them not really a good option in your situation

So I took her in to the dealer today. I was advised to wait till a check engine light comes on. As of right now I would be wasting my money paying for the diagnosis . They most likely wont find anything . Any other ideas?
