Default Spark Plugs

Well I have an 05 that i bought last year @48k, im the second owner and now the car has 57.4k exactly one year later. I don't know if previous owner had them replaced or not but I know im supposed to replace the plugs @60k but i mean so far there has been no decrease in fuel economy/power so i guess so far so good. Can I possibly get away with it till April/may when its warmer. I'm just way too lazy to do it in the cold lol if it was like my evo and i didn't have to take much shit off id do it, but in this case there's a lot of work involved.

Any advice would be appreciated.

You should be OK for the most part but definetly look into changing them.

You should do spacers if you have the chance since you will be removing intake manifolds.

My coils are fine but i figured it will be preventative maintenance, and also the dsm/evo scene can use my old coils so they will be up for sale on there. I dont wanna do all this work then have to go back and replace a bad coil. Eddy I have those nwp style spacers but i had them custom cut to be a bit thinner for clearances etc... im prepared just SOOPERDOOPERLAZY lol

Do you notice any difference with the spacers installed?

My car is an 04, I bought it with 58,xxx miles and it has 75,xxx miles now. I doubt the previous (original) owner ever changed the plugs. When do I need to change them? Now?

You notice the difference at your top end speed with the spacers. I never changed the spark plugs until recently when I had my spacers installed at the sametime. I was already over 100,000 miles. I'm not sure what the "recommendation" on when to change it. Someone else can chime in or maybe check your manual book. It might tell you when to change them.

Nissan's recommendation is 100K. Some did it earlier just because they were already in there doing something else.

If you can turn a wrench, it's really not that bad. The first time is the hardest, since that bracket at the rear that supports the intake plenum is kinda hard to take off (because of tight spacing).
Leave the bracket off (it's ok), then after that, it's more like a 2 hr. job!
