ok so originally i had the safc2 wired up (yellow wire to yellow wire), and (white to white wire) as the input and out puts...after i cleared the safc2 and started the car up again the engine light came on. p0101 and p0103 codes both popped up ( car was not in limp mode tho.)...
i tired to re wire it using the (pink to yellow) and (orange to white wires) as it says to and started it up and the engine light came back on and was in limp mode this time....... i had tried a third way now switching the (pink to white ) and the (orange to yellow) a nd now the car wont start at all, and the engine light is on with the same engine codes! (p0101 & p0103) if someone could tell me whats wrong here... i dunno if the controller went bad on me or if the inputs and outputs are wrong? but i dont get what just happened? so now i disconnected the controller completely and the car starts up fine

Check your pinouts. Locate a wire that you know should be in position X, and see if your other pins seem to make sense. For example, if there is only 1 solid orange wire, and you know that it is in pin 25, then you have a reference point. It can get confusing when looking at the ECU wires since they are upsidedown.
You are only throwing MAF errors because your ECu is getting a bad signal due to cut wires. You MAY have your input/output backwards, which will cause big issues. |

ok well after moving and cutting wires around for and hour, i found that only set up one (y/y and w/w) will allow me to rev above 3rpms ( out of limp mode) but i cant get rid of the engine light.......
so im think i must have the same ecu as the 2003

We had those pin out links before. I actually didn't install mine, I showed up and the tech had finished it. Wish I had something good to tell you on this. I'll look around GOOGLE, if I find something I'll post it up

If all else fails, and you manage to find the ECU paperwork, you can use a Voltometer to make sure you have the correct pins

Max, see this thread: NEO Issues
NEO and SAFC2 are the same. the wiring for an 07 is a bit different (just the throttle wire). But there is images explaining what each pins does, and what location it is in. |
