Welcome eddi2013,
I don't use royal performance oil nor do I feel anything different because of it.

I used royal purple in my 6thgen and now I use it in my 7thgen. Seems to run a lot smoother IMO.

I'm sorry but any one who says they actually feel some thing from their oil are lying. It's oil...if you're expecting "performance gains" you'll be disappointed. If you want proper protection for your motor you'll be happy.

You won't fell a performance gain with royal purple. However your engine will run smoother.
I have been using it in my car since I bought it. One thing tho, once you make the switch to synthetic, it's recommended that you don't go back to standard oil.

NONSENSE!!!

My 87 Nissan Pulsar zipped right passed red line with no vibration and upped my top speed on the autoban form 110ph to 125mph (I didn't drive past red line, I was use to shifting according to vibration but this time there was none)

I even switched back to make sure and the results were the same. Of course, that was 1.6L four banger that wound up to a sweet 7500rpm on car that weighed as much a bread box

I've used Royal Purple Synthetic oil. I've since switched back to Mobile 1. Didn't notice a difference. While there some oil's better than other in terms of duration/quality, synthetic oil is synthetic oil to me as long as you keep up with maintenance. Especially on our cars with the infamous timing chain issue.

A ticking noise. It's ususually caused by these plastic tensioners which wear out over time. Once they wear out and break, your engine will have an annoying sound.

I've noticed that most people who kept up with regular oil changes did not have this issue as much as the folks who changed it in large intervals. But then again the tensioners are a wear/tear part and at some point will have to be changed. It's an expensive job.

Maybe in some type of a race car you might get a noticeable improvement, but in a daily driver, not a chance.
