Default Are Pre-cats All The Same?

one of my precats failed and just as luck has it there is a member selling the racingline version precats but they came off of a 07-08 with the cvt tranny and mine is the 5spd auto. i know the y-pipes aren't interchangeable but shouldnt the precats be? i tried emailing racingline but no response yet. can any of the engine guru's answer this

im guessing they dont fit beacuse on the website it says to choose transmission type when ordering.

maybe the pipe after the cat it self is angled differently for the different y-pipes. If he was to take the y-pipe too what would be the fitment problem....just the starter? If so all he would have to do is shave the flange a little right?

no the cats for a CVT will not fit the 5spd auto. They are different.
